Graduate Application Requirements (F-1 Students)

Academic Documents

• Official transcripts from all previous institutions
• If you completed coursework outside the U.S., you must submit a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency (such as WES, ECE, TEC, or IEE)

English Proficiency

You must meet one of the following minimum scores:

• TOEFL iBT: 79
• IELTS: 6.5
• PTE Academic: 53
• iTEP Academic: 4.0

If your scores are below the minimum, you may apply for ESL through The Language Company.

Identification & Immigration Documents

• Copy of passport (photo page)

Financial Documents

• Completed Graduate Certification of Financial Resources Form (signed by sponsor)
• Current bank statement:
  • Must show 3–6 months of transaction history
  • Must be in the sponsor’s name
  • Must be dated within 1 month of application
  • Must not be older than 12 months before program start

Additional financial documentation may be requested if needed.

Graduate Transfer Application Requirements (F-1 Students)

Academic Documents

• Official transcripts from all U.S. colleges/universities attended
• If you have 24 or more U.S. credit hours, additional transcripts or English proficiency scores may not be required
• If you completed coursework outside the U.S., you must submit a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency (such as WES, ECE, TEC, or IEE)

English Proficiency

You must meet one of the following minimum scores (if required):

• TOEFL iBT: 79
• IELTS: 6.5
• PTE Academic: 53
• iTEP Academic: 4.0

• Current I-20
• I-94 record (if currently attending a U.S. institution)
• Completed SWOSU SEVIS Transfer Form

Financial Documents

• Completed Graduate Certification of Financial Resources Form (signed by sponsor)   
• Current bank statement:
  • Must show 3–6 months of transaction history
  • Must be dated within 1 month of application
  • Must not be older than 12 months before program start

Additional financial documentation may be requested by the international office if needed.
