Be Part of Camp

Be part of this empowering experience

*** Broken component *** You can provide unique experiences to middle school-aged students as they discover their passion for and potential in STEAM. Volunteers must be over 18 years old and willing to undergo a background check. A stipend and/or room and board is available for some camp positions. However, because most of this camp is funded by grants and donations, the SAGE STEAM Camp relies on the help of dedicated volunteers to be successful.

There are many opportunities for SWOSU students, faculty and staff – as well as for community members, businesses and organizations – to be a part of this camp. The Southwest Alliance for Girls’ Enrichment in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Humanities, and Mathematics (SAGE STEAM) Camp at SWOSU is looking for volunteers with a commitment to STEAM education to assist with activities, field trips and general camp needs during the week of camp.

Opportunities

  • Camp counselors
  • Dorm monitor
  • Health director
  • Workshop teachers
  • Field trip hosts
  • Mentors for the STEAM speed-meeting event
  • Volunteers to assist with camp workshops and events
  • Camp committee member

Or any way you want to share ideas and/or resources as we work
to raise funds for and develop the SAGE STEAM camp curriculum.
