Educators Professional Development Program
The Educators Professional Development (PD) Program was conducted for the first time
in 2021. This program aims to provide K-12 teachers with ideas, resources, and contacts
to bring STEM/STEAM back to their classrooms. This increases the potential to enrich
the education of more Oklahoma students beyond camp.
The program consists of K-12 teachers participating in a one-day workshop during the spring semester and for two days during the week of camp on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford, OK. In turn, each teacher receives a stipend, room and board, and a spending allowance for supplies. Participants will also have opportunities to network with and obtain teaching plans from fellow educators and STEAM professionals.
If you are a K-12 teacher and want to become part of the Educators PD Program, indicate your interest when nominating students on the SAGE STEAM Camp Nomination Form or EMAIL your name and contact information. The deadline to indicate your interest in the program is the end of January. Preference is given to those who teach grades 6-9.elopment Program.
