Anyone is welcome to enroll in Continuing Education courses at SWOSU. Current SWOSU students are encouraged to check with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) before enrolling, as there may be similar courses available for academic credit.

Continuing Education courses change throughout the year. SWOSU is expanding its offerings to include a broader range of professional and personal development opportunities.
Suggestions for future course topics are always welcome and can be sent to continuinged@swosu.edu. A full list of current Continuing Education options can be found on the Continuing Education webpage.

No pre-requisites are required for Continuing Education courses. Anyone may enroll, regardless of prior academic experience.

Yes. SWOSU offers both in-person and online Continuing Education courses. Each course listing includes information about its delivery format so that learners can select the option that works best for them.

Continuing Education students are eligible to access many of the same applications available to SWOSU students in academic courses. These include online tutoring, test proctoring, mental health assistance, and more. When Continuing Education students apply and enroll, they receive a SWOSU student account that gives them access to these additional resources.

While Continuing Education courses cannot count toward a degree, advisors are available to help students transition into courses that earn academic credit. For guidance or questions, please email continuinged@swosu.edu.

Continuing Education offers flexible, affordable opportunities to gain new skills, strengthen professional expertise, or explore personal interests without committing to a full academic program. Courses are designed for busy adults, working professionals, and lifelong learners who want practical, applicable learning experiences.

Yes. Employer-sponsored Continuing Education courses are a great way for SWOSU to connect with organizations that support employee development. Please ask your employer to email continuinged@swosu.edu and request more information about Continuing Education opportunities for their employees.
