Dr. Hardeep S. Saluja (Biography):

Dr. Hardeep S. Saluja is the Department Chair and a Tenured Bernhardt Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from MCPHS University, Boston, USA, and a Master of Business Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He is also a registered pharmacist in the state of Oklahoma. He is acclaimed for initiating the dual degree program that combines a Pharm.D. with a Master’s in science in Health Information Management (Pharm.D./MSHIM), making it the second program of its kind in the USA. He serves as the coordinator for both the Pharm.D./MSHIM and Pharm.D./MBA programs. In addition to these roles, Dr. Saluja is a respected advisor, speaker, and professor, recognized for his insightful contributions and leadership in pharmacy education.

His leadership extends to his role as the President of the American Association of Indian Pharmaceutical Scientists and the founder of the American Association of Indian Pharmacy Professors (www.aaipp.us), highlighting his influence and dedication to the pharmaceutical community.

Additionally, Dr. Saluja's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in his role as the Vice Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). This position reflects his efforts to promote inclusivity and equity within the pharmaceutical sciences.

His recognition in the field is further evidenced by awards like the 2020 Bernhardt Academic Excellence Award at SWOSU. His commitment to professional excellence is evident through his role as an evaluator and site team member for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), an organization that accredits Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) programs. Additionally, his involvement with the Weatherford Rotary Club showcases his dedication to community service.
