Christopher Evatt

Dr. Christopher Evatt is a pianist and organist based out of Oklahoma City. He is a staff pianist at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he also teaches organ, class piano, and accompanying. He previously worked at Keene State College, the Longy School of Music, and Nazareth College. He is an experienced collaborator on piano, organ, and harpsichord, and has worked with groups such as Tactus, Zenith Ensemble, and the Grand Monadnock Youth Choirs. Dr. Evatt is Director of Parish Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, OK, where he directs choir and handbells and oversaw the installation of a new organ in 2023. In the summer of 2024, he was invited to present church music workshops at the LCMS Institute on Liturgy, Preaching, and Church Music and the Caedmon Church Music Conference. He has degrees from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Jean Barr, and the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with Anne Epperson, Colette Valentine, and David Renner.
