    Career Development  — for individuals with non-teaching degrees and classroom experience seeking Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Special Education certification.

    Alternative Placement  — for individuals with non-teaching degrees seeking certification in eligible secondary or PK–12 areas; OSDE notes this pathway does not include early childhood, elementary, or special education.

    Students interested in certification should work closely with a SWOSU advisor and review current OSDE requirements before selecting courses.
