    Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Ed.S.)

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program prepares students for advanced professional counseling practice and academic eligibility requirements for Oklahoma Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure. This specialist degree builds on prior graduate counseling coursework and provides advanced clinical training designed to help students serve individuals, families, and communities in a variety of mental health settings.

The program is designed as a two-tiered professional training pathway. Students first complete either the M.Ed. in School Counseling or the M.S. in Community Counseling before entering the Ed.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling track. Through advanced coursework, supervised practicum experiences, and internship training, students gain the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to work with diverse populations and address a wide range of mental health concerns.
