SWOSU Music Department Plans Busy Week of Concerts

SWOSU’s Department of Music presents a week (November 13-19) full of concerts featuring a broad assortment of instruments and performers.

Dr. Keith Talley, chair of the Department of Music, said the concerts will feature nearly every student in the department and a wide variety of music. Dr. Talley invites everyone to attend the free performances.

The week kicks off with an Orchestra concert on Tuesday, November 13, at 8:15 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center lobby.

The Brass and Woodwind Ensemble follows on Wednesday, November 14, at 7 p.m. in Room 101 of the Ed & Winnie Ola Berrong Music Hall.

Thursday’s event features the Percussion Ensemble in Room 102 of the Fine Arts Center at 7 p.m.

On Friday and Saturday, opera scenes will be featured at 7 p.m. in the Music Hall, Room 101. Also on Saturday, the all senior honor band performs at 6 p.m. in Room 101 of the Music Hall.

The final concert showcases the Community Chorus in the Fine Arts Center lobby on Monday at 7 p.m.
