SWOSU Panorama Series Presents The Art of the Drum This Thursday

Athletic bodies and contemporary costumes meet explosive Taiko drumming and innovative choreography in The Art of the Drum that takes place this Thursday, March 1, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. The event is part of the Panorama series at SWOSU.  Tickets are on sale for the event that starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Panorama series will feature TAO: The Art of the Drum this Thursday, March 1, on the Weatherford campus.

Tickets are on sale for the event that will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the SWOSU campus.

Athletic bodies and contemporary costumes meet explosive Taiko drumming and innovative choreography in a show that has extraordinary precision, energy and stamina. The stars of TAO live and train at a compound in the mountains of Japan, reaching the  highest level of virtuosity only . . . after years of intensive study. They offer a young and vibrantly modern take on a traditional art form.

Advance tickets are $5 for SWOSU students with a valid SWOSU I.D. and $10 for all others. All tickets at the door will be $20.
