SWOSU Phi Beta Lambda Students Advance to Nationals

Six Southwestern Oklahoma State University students at Weatherford and Sayre advanced to the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference this summer after placing in the top three at the recent state leadership conference held in Tulsa. SWOSU students who attended the state conference are (from left): Randal Brown and Becca Sims, both of Elk City; Curtis Hergenrother, Broken Arrow; Dalton Holdge, Ft. Cobb-Broxton; Rachel Ridlin, Sayre; Sara Thomas, Weatherford; and Kelsey Zybach, Briscoe (TX).
Four Southwestern Oklahoma State University students at Weatherford and two SWOSU-Sayre students advanced to the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference after placing in the top three at the recent state leadership conference held in Tulsa.

The PBL National Leadership Conference will be held June 23-26 in Orlando (FL). The SWOSU students will be raising funds to help sponsor the trip. Anyone who would like to help, contact Dalton Holdge at 405-668-0275 or holdged@student.swosu.edu.
At the state leadership conference, all students and advisors attended workshops, general sessions and opening ceremonies. Grant Baldwin was the guest speaker for the general session. Holdge, who is president of the SWOSU-Weatherford chapter of the PBL, said Baldwin pointed out the fact that like the song, Life is a Highway, people do not know every twist and turn but everyone needs to learn and grow every step of the way.
