Ground-breaking Ceremony Held for Weatherford Event Center

Hundreds of people attended the recent ground-breaking ceremony for the Weatherford Event Center on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. The center, which will be located just south of Milam Stadium, is in the final design stage and construction on the multi-purpose center is expected to start March 1. Site work will start shortly. The event center is being funded jointly by SWOSU students and a sales tax approved as part of the "Yes Weatherford" campaign.
