SWOSU Faculty Receive Promotions and Tenure

Six SWOSU faculty members were awarded promotions, and seven faculty members received tenure at a recent meeting of the Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO) Regents. 

SWOSU President Randy Beutler said the changes are effective for the 2010-11 academic year.

The following faculty members were approved for advancement in rank:

From Associate Professor to Professor                                                          

  • Dr. Arden Aspedon, School of Allied Health Sciences
  • Dr. Mary Aspedon, Department of Education
  • Dr. Nancy Williams, College of Pharmacy

From Assistant Professor to Associate Professor

  • Dr. David Bessinger, Department of Music
  • Dr. Kevin Collins, Department of Language and Literature
  • Dr. Rahmat Talukder, College of Pharmacy 

The following faculty members were approved for tenure:

  • Dr. Kevin Collins, Department of Language and Literature
  • Dr. David Esjornson, Department of Chemistry and Physics
  • Dr. Tim Hubin, Department of Chemistry and Physics
  • Ms. E.K. Jeong, Department of Art
  • Dr. James Silver, Department of Language and Literature
  • Dr. Rahmat Talukder, College of Pharmacy
  • Dr. Nancy Williams, College of Pharmacy
