SWOSU Health and Physical Education Receives Continuing National Accreditation

Southwestern Oklahoma State University's health and physical education program through the Department of Kinesiology has received continuing national accreditation from the

National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). 

NCATE is a national accrediting body for schools, colleges, and departments of education authorized by the U.S. Department of Education. 

Vicki Hatton, chair of the department, said the health and physical education program at SWOSU has met rigorous national standards and is pleased the program is nationally recognized once again.

SWOSU has 15 nationally-accredited academic programs-most among Oklahoma's regional universities.
