Haldeman Receives Travel Grant for E-Learning Conference

Steven Haldeman (right), technology specialist in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Distance Learning Department in Weatherford, recently received a travel grant through the Higher Education Telecommunication Association of Oklahoma (HETA). The grant, in part, supports staff development through workshops and networking by providing travel funds to the recent 2009 ITC E-Learning Conference in Portland, Oregon. The conference sessions centered on topics like distance learning, internship programs for students, and virtual worlds in the classroom. With Haldeman are (left) Dr. Lessley Price and Steve Ray, director and assistant director, respectively, of the SWOSU Distance Learning Center.
