Senior Nursing Students Conduct Health Fairs at Elementary Schools

Ronda Pack and Naysha Coffin taught students at East Elementary School in Weatherford how to deal with bullies.

Calli Hamar and Shirley Kunnel taught students about how many candies and medications look alike. Students were taught that they should never take candy from strangers, and they should not assume that it is candy because many medications look similar to candy.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University senior nursing students are conducting health fairs at elementary schools as part of the Community Health Nursing class.  

The instructors of the SWOSU class are Betty Walters and Tammy Blatnick. The SWOSU students plan health fairs March 4-5 at West Elementary School and March 11-12 at Burcham Elementary, both in Weatherford.
