SWOSU Hosting Class 2A Area Basketball Tournament

Southwestern Oklahoma State University will host a Class 2A Area Basketball Championship Tournament this Thursday through Saturday, March 5-7, at Rankin Williams Fieldhouse on the Weatherford campus.

The tournament will feature high school boys and girls teams from Watonga, Cordell, Fairview and Walters; girls teams from Healdton and Apache; and boys teams from Dibble and Carnegie.

Games will be played on Thursday and Friday at 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Games on Saturday will be at 6:30 and 8 p.m.

The schedule of games includes:

Thursday

            1:30 p.m.         Watonga vs. Cordell girls

            3 p.m.              Dibble vs. Cordell boys

            6:30 p.m.         Fairview vs. Walters girls

            8 p.m.              Fairview vs. Carnegie boys

Friday

            1:30 p.m.         Winners of Thursday's girls games

            3 p.m.              Winners of Thursday's boys games

            6:30 p.m.         Healdton vs. Apache girls (winners' bracket) 

            8 p.m.              Watonga vs. Walters boys (winner's bracket)

Saturday

           6:30 p.m.         Winner of Friday's 1:30 p.m. girls game vs. Loser of Friday's 6:30 p.m. girls game

           8 p.m.              Winner of Friday's 3 p.m. boys game vs. Loser of Friday's 6:30 p.m. boys game
