Over 250 Attend Silent Witness Exhibition

Nearly 250 people visited the Silent Witness Exhibit that recently took place in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Memorial Student Center. The exhibit was in recognition of October being Domestic Violence Awareness month. To increase awareness, the Collegiate Activities Board is teaming up with the Violence Intervention, Prevention, and Early Response (VIPER) program at SWOSU to host  an “8 ½ x 11 Contest” through the month of October. Participants are asked to submit reactions (poem, art, etc.) to domestic violence to the SWOSU Dean of Students office on an 8 ½ x 11” sheet of paper. All participants will be entered in a drawing for one of three prizes, including an iPod shuffle and University Bookstore Gift Card. Entries will be accepted through October 30, and three winners will be announced on October 31.
