SWOSU Names Practice Field after Former AD

Southwestern Oklahoma State University is renaming the practice field south of Milam Stadium on the Weatherford campus after long-time SWOSU Athletic Director Cecil Perkins (left), who left that post earlier this year. The university surprised Perkins by unveiling the pictured sign at a ceremony during Parent's Day activities. Former SWOSU President and current Regional University System of Oklahoma Regent Joe Anna Hibler (right) of Weatherford made the presentation. Perkins served as athletic director at SWOSU from 1981-2008.
