Students Win Scholarships at SWOSU Parent's Day

Five SWOSU students each won $500 tuition scholarships this past Saturday at Parent’s Day activities on the Weatherford campus.

Winners were:

  •       Senior Evan Jarrett, son of David and Toni Jarrett of Visalia (CA), signed up at Alley Anna’s
  •       Freshman Brock Oyler, son of Rod and Rena Oyler of Texhoma, signed up at First National Bank & Trust Company
  •       Sophomore Carla Parker, daughter of Mike Parker of Sayre, signed up at Taco Mayo
  •       Senior Sarah Ruiz, daughter of Connie Kennemer of Dill City, signed up at Cummins Pontiac-Buick-GMC
  •        Senior Brett Whitehead, son of Darryl and Kelli Whitehead of Rockwall (TX), signed up at La La & Friends

Forty-five area businesses made possible the scholarship giveaway. The winners were announced at halftime of the SWOSU football game.
