Physics Students Win Awards at SWOSU

Southwestern Oklahoma State University students won honors at the recent Physics spring honors banquet held on the Weatherford campus. SWOSU Alumnus Kenneth Elkins of McAlester was inducted into Sigma Phi Sigma.

Among the students winning awards was Justin Silkwood, Norman, $800 Physics Alumni Scholarship and Sigma Phi Sigma Inductee. Not pictured was Sean Wright, Oklahoma City, Sigma  Phi Sigma Inductee.

Among the students winning awards were Ashleigh Streit, Weatherford, $1,000 Chesapeake Scholarship & Sigma Phi Sigma Inductee; Jonathan Wallace, Weatherford, $1,500 J.R. Pratt Scholarship & Sigma Phi Sigma Inductee; and Rachel Hurt, Clinton, $800 Physics Alumni Scholarship. Not pictured was Jonathan Keahey, Crawford, $500 Arthur McClelland Memorial Scholarship; $1,000 Chesapeake Scholarship; and Outstanding Midclassman in Physics.

Pratt Award-Outstanding Student in Physics; and Bhaskar Singh Basnet, Nepal, $400 Physics Alumni Scholarship and Leadership Award.
