SWOSU HIM Alumni Address Students

Southwestern Oklahoma State University alumni Ellie Chason, regulatory compliance product manager for Healthcare Management Systems, Inc., and Julia Kendrick, health information management project management coordinator for Ardent Health Surveys, recently spoke on the Weatherford campus.

Chason and Kendrick addressed the junior and senior classes of the health information management program at SWOSU. Both are graduates of the program.

Chason is currently living in Nashville where one of the main HMS offices is located and Kendrick resides in Perry but does a lot of traveling to surrounding states. Both discussed the many opportunities for HIM professionals and discussed projects that they were currently working on or had been working on in the past. 

SWOSU faculty member Teri Stubbs said it was a great opportunity for students to learn about the growing demands for HIM professionals on the information technology vendor side of healthcare.
