Zephyros Winds Coming to SWOSU

The Zephyros Winds will perform in concert on Wednesday, February 14, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
The 8:15 p.m. concert is open to the public, and admission is free.
The concert will be held in Room 101 of the Music Building on the SWOSU campus. Their program will include: Woodwind Quintet, Op. 79 by August Klughardt; Quintet for Winds by John Harbison; Six Bagatelles by György Ligeti, and Quintet, Op. 124 by Giulio Briccialdi.
Zéphyros Winds is recognized as one of the nation’s leading chamber ensembles with appearances across the country at major concert venues, including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, The Library of Congress, Wolf Trap, and at the Great Performers series at Lincoln Center.
Zéphyros was a finalist for the Naumburg Award and was overall winner at the Fischoff Competition. They have toured with renowned pianists Pedja Muzijevic and Charles Wadsworth.
Members of the quintet are Jennifer Grim, flute; James Roe, oboe; Marianne Gythfeldt, clarinet; Douglas Quint, bassoon; and Patrick Pridemore, horn.
