Dances With Wolves Author to Speak at SWOSU

Dances With Wolves author Michael Blake will speak two times on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus this Tuesday and Wednesday, November 7-8.

The public is invited to both presentations on the Weatherford campus. His appearance is sponsored by the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site and Western National Parks Association to begin the park’s annual involvement in Oklahoma’s History Day competition.

Blake’s first talk will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Student Union on the SWOSU campus, while the second program will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the SWOSU Conference Center. Admission is free to both events.

Blake, who has a recent book Indian Yell: The Heart of an American Insurgency, will sign copies of his books after each program.
