LRC is a comprehensive literary reference database which provides a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a completely full-text database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else. MagillOnLiterature Plus is included in LRC.

This database contains a full library of up-to-date, fully searchable criticism and reference resources. It also contains an extensive collection of full-text poetry, drama, and prose fiction from the 7th century to the present. Contemporary criticism is available through the full text of over 174 current literature journals through the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL), which contains over 880,000 records of literary criticism from 1920 to the present.

This resource is an index of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the electronic version of the Bibliography dates back to 1963 and contains over 1.5 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers. Coverage is international and subjects include literature, language and linguistics, folklore, literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history, theory and practice of teaching language and literature are also included.

The OED is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English language over the last millennium. It is a guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources.
