Bo Pagliasotti begins his fourth season as head coach of the Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s volleyball program where he has been since the program’s inception in 2005.
Each year the Bulldogs have shown steady improvement under Pagliasotti bettering their won-loss total from the previous season. Last year SWOSU finished in a tie for eighth in the Lone Star Conference and ended with a 14-19 overall record.
Pagliasotti owns a 29-68 record in three years at SWOSU, which included a 5-27 mark as a first-year program in 2005.Pagliasotti previously coached at Clarendon College where his last team was 19-16 and made a return trip to the Texas junior college playoffs. His overall record at Clarendon was 33-55, which included an 0-23 mark in his first year when he took over a team one week prior to the first game. The next year he brought in 15 new players and Clarendon’s climb began with a 14-16 record and a first-ever trip to the playoffs in 2003.
Pagliasotti is also serving the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as a member of the NCAA Division II Head Coaches Committee. He is an active member of both the AVCA and the United States Volleyball Association. He is an instructor in both the Kinesiology and Sport Management Departments at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
The Denver, Colorado native has additional coaching experience as an assistant at Texas A&M-Commerce beginning in 1997. He stayed five seasons at the LSC school before Clarendon offered him the lead volleyball position in 2002.
He holds both a bachelor’s degree in English/Kinesiology and master’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Commerce. He and his wife, Debra, are the parents of a son, Hunter, and a daughter, Harper.
