Men Finish 7th at Pratt

PRATT, KAN - The Southwestern Oklahoma State University men finished in a tie for seventh place at the recently completed Pratt Community College Rodeo. The 15-team, two-day event concluded Sunday at Pratt, Kan.

Fort Scott won the team title with 530 points. Connors and Northwestern Oklahoma State University finished tied for second with 345 points.

SWOSU's top performance came from cowboy Cody Teel who won the bareback competition for the second consecutive rodeo. Teel finished in a third-place tie in the long run and finished first in the short run with a 76-point ride.

SWOSU had one other cowboy, Trevor Beebe, score points. Beebe finished finished fourth in the average in calf roping thanks primarily to his third place showing in the short round.

The rodeo team will next be in action next week at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
