Women Finish Fall Season

DUNCAN, Okla. - The Southwestern Oklahoma State University women put the finishing touches on its 2009 fall golf season with completion of its third and final golf tournament of the semester at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held at the Territory Golf Club in Duncan, Okla.
The Bulldogs bettered their first-day score by seven strokes on Tuesday shooting a 358. SWOSU concluded the tournament with a team score of 724, which placed them in 13th place.
St. Edward's was the overall winner with a team score of 614, nine shots better than Angelo State who finished second at 623. Northeastern State was third with 630 and Central Oklahoma was fourth at 631. A total of 13 teams and 75 golfers competed in the event.
St. Edwards' Kirby Baker was the individual winner after shooting rounds of 73 and 71 to finish at even-par, 144. Angelo State's Raelyn Smith and Megan Cisneroz shared second place at 151, seven strokes behind Baker.
SWOSU's top finisher was Lisa Roche who placed 51st with rounds of 87 and 81 for a 168. Other SWOSU golfers and their scores are as follows: Sarah Simpson was 67th with rounds of 85 and 95 for 180; Krystal Marshall was 70th with a 94 and 93 for 187; Amber Henderson was tied for 73rd with scores of 100 and 91 for 191 and Haley Gunkel was 75th with rounds of 100 and 93 for 193.
