Marshall Leads Women at UCO

EDMOND, Okla. - Krystal Marshall was the low scorer for the Southwestern Oklahoma State University women's golf team after the completion of the first round of play at the University of Central Oklahoma Classic. Marshall, a sophomore from Clinton, turned in a 12-over par round of 82 at the 5,967 yard, par 70 Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond, Okla.
SWOSU as a team shot 342 and stand in 18th place after Monday's first round. St. Edward's is the first round leader with a score of 297, three strokes ahead of the hosts, Central Oklahoma who carded a 300.
St. Edward's has the top two individuals at the halfway point with Emily Kvinta and Kirby Baker each shooting a one-over, 71.
A total of 104 golfers and 18 teams are expected to complete play tomorrow with another 18 holes.
Other SWOSU scores are as follows: Marshall's 82 placed her 62nd, Amber Henderson and Haley Gunkel were tied at 84th with an 86, Sarah Simpson was 95th with an 88 and Lisa Roche was 96th with an 89.
