Golf in 16th Place at Tarleton

GRANBURRY, Texas - Southwestern Oklahoma State University opened with a 403 team score in the first round of the Tarleton State University Invitational. SWOSU is in 16th place at the tournament's halfway point. The event will conclude Tuesday with another 18 holes at the Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury, Texas.
St. Edward's shot a 331 and leads the 17-team field while Lone Star Conference schools West Texas A&M and Tarleton State share second at 335.
Tasha Marshall was the top scorer for SWOSU shooting a 97 while teammate Amber Henderson shot a 98. Heather Wilbur of Dallas Baptist University is the individual leader so far with a first round score of 77.
