Football Bus Trip Planned

WEATHERFORD, Okla. - The Southwestern Oklahoma State University football team is headed to Emporia, Kan. on Thursday, Aug. 27 to kickoff their 2009 season. The football team will not travel alone as a special charter bus has been arranged by the SWOSU Athletic Association for its members and any others who are interested in having easy transportation to the game.
Rouben Tourian, SWOSU assistant athletic director, has made an arrangement with Red Carpet Charters for a 50-person "Spirit Bus" that will provide same day transportation to Emporia, Kan. and back. The Spirit Bus will leave the SWOSU campus at 11:30 a.m on Aug. 27. Cost is $40 per person which will also include a provided sack lunch. An additional stop is planned on the 5-hour route for dinner that will be Dutch Treat.
Tickets for the Emporia game will be available and can be purchased at the Welch Stadium Box office upon arrival. General admission tickets are $8; students with identification card are allowed in for $5. The bus will return back to Weatherford following the game.
