Dwayne Turner is one newest members of the Bulldog football coaching staff serving as the graduate assistant in charge of running backs. Turner joined the staff on Aug. 1, 2009.
Turner, a graduate of Coalgate High School, played four years at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the 2004 Lone Star Conference North Division Championship team. He played both linebacker and running back for the Savages and later earned a degree in health and physical education in 2005.
He coached previously at Leonard High School in Leonard, Texas before moving to Hydro so that his wife, Melissa, could finish her education at SWOSU. The couple have two children, an eight-year old son, Dylan and a four-year old daughter, Ashlyn.
