Former Bulldog Stephen Papp begins his first year with the SWOSU football coaching staff as a graduate assistant with his primary responsibilities to include assisting with the defensive line and the video exchange program.
Papp, a native of Kingwood, Texas, was a two-year starter for SWOSU at fullback and was a member of the 2007 Lone Star Conference North Division co-champion team. While at SWOSU he was named to the LSC All-Academic team and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). He began his collegiate career at Blinn Junior College before transferring to Texas A&M-Commerce.
While at Commerce, Papp played both tight end and fullback for the Lions.
He earned his bachelor's degree from SWOSU in kinesiology and is working on his master's degree in sports management.
