Josh Musick begins his first season as linebackers coach at SWOSU while continuing his existing job as the head strength and conditioning coach for the school's 12 varsity sports programs. In addition, Musick also serves as the head coach of the women's cross country team.
Musick was a football standout for the Bulldogs earlier in his career where he starred at linebacker playing from 2002-2005. He recorded 169 career tackles, including 74 and 82 in the years of 2003 and 2004. He obtained both his bachelor's and master's degree from SWOSU.
He owns certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and the United States Weightlifting (USAW). His intense reputation for motivating athletes and non-athletes in effective strength and conditioning programs has been known for a number of years in the Weatherford area as a personal trainer for Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic.
A native of Clovis, New Mexico, Musick was a member of four state championship teams in high school in the sports of wrestling, track, football and basketball.

He and his wife, Eladah, are the owners and director of the Oklahoma College of Massage Therapy. The couple have two children, a son, Keenan, and a daughter, Amaria.
