Josh Musick became Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s cross country coach prior to the 2006 season and since that time has quickly guided the Bulldogs to the upper ranks of the Lone Star Conference. Musick, who also serves as the head strength and conditioning coach, has implemented a rigorous training program that has benefited not only the cross country team but all of SWOSU’s 12 varsity sports programs.
He owns certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and the United States Weightlifting (USAW). His intense reputation for motivating athletes and non-athletes in effective strength and conditioning programs has been known for a number of years in the Weatherford area as a personal trainer for Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic.
Musick was a football standout for the Bulldogs earlier in his career where he started at linebacker for three seasons (2003, 2004, 2005). He obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degree from SWOSU.
A native of Clovis, New Mexico, Musick was a member of four state championship teams in high school in the sports of wrestling, track, football and basketball.

He and his wife, Eladah, are the owners and director of the Oklahoma College of Massage Therapy. The couple have two children, a son, Keenan, and a daughter, Amaria.
