Campbell Wins LSC Award

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University basketball standout Jerard Campbell was recognized as the Lone Star Conference North Division Player-of-the-Week for his efforts in helping the Bulldogs stay unbeaten through the early portion of this season.

Campbell, a 6-3 junior from Del City, averaged 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds  per game in victories over St. Gregory's and Oklahoma Science and Arts. Campbell made 50% of his shots from the field and recorded the team's first double-double when he had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the victory over USAO.

Campbell and his SWOSU teammates will next play Friday at 6 p.m. in Edmond against undefeated Washburn University at the University of Central Oklahoma Classic. The Bulldogs will play the following day against former instate rival Langston University at 6 p.m. in Edmond.
