April 3, 2009

WEATHERFORD, Okla. - Southwestern Oklahoma State University continued its red-hot ways pushing its baseball win streak to seven consecutive games with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Eastern New Mexico Friday in Weatherford. The Bulldogs were 4-0 winners in the opener and followed it with a 14-11 win in the nightcap.

The two teams will continue their series Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The Bulldogs improved to 25-13 and 19-11 in the Lone Star Conference. ENMU fell to 19-20 overall and 14-16 in league play.

In the second game, SWOSU found itself down 5-0 before knotting the score at 5-5 by the end of three innings. Chris Morrison homered twice and Travis Rose knocked his 12th homer of the season as the Bulldogs churned out 12 hits against three different ENMU hitters.
