President's Leadership Class of 2007-08

Courtney Garcia

Courtney Garcia graduated with honors from Navajo High School. At Navajo, Courtney was involved in National Honor Society, The Navajo FFA Chapter, and many other clubs.  Courtney was Secretary of her senior class and Vice President of her FFA Chapter, in which she was very involved in Public Speaking.

Courtney was chosen as an Oklahoma Scholar and a student of Who’s Who Among American High School Students.

At SWOSU, Courtney is very active in her social sorority, Sigma Sigma Chi, in which Relay for Life is a main charity activity of hers. Courtney was elected student senator and Arts and Science Caucus Chair for the Student Government Association in the fall semester of 2007. Courtney will begin research within the Chemistry department at SWOSU in the fall of 2008 with Dr. Hubin.

Courtney was chosen as the recipient of the Berrong Foundation Scholarship in the spring of 2008.

Courtney is a Chemistry with Biochemistry emphasis major with a Biology minor, and is planning on applying for medical school in the fall of 2010
